I had sort of been looking forward to having a weekend with nothing to do; just being able to relax, watch some movies or cuddle or just spend time with the missus, catch up on housework. My wife, social butterfly that she is, set up some social calls with friends that took up most of Saturday and Sunday.

Don't get me wrong, I love hanging out with our/her/my friends. But the next two weekends are booked with bachelor/bachelorette party and wedding stuff (as in, we're in our friends' wedding), so it'll be awhile before I can do little things, like get the bathroom done, or sort through boxes.

Donated blood Saturday morning- let them poke the right arm, no light-headedness like last time. I honestly think it's something with my left arm that triggers it. Set up an appointment for mid-June to donate whole blood (platelets)- I'm O Negative, so at least I'm useful for something. :)

We got a chance to play Ticket to Ride with our associate pastor and his wife; it's actually a fun game. Might have to stop by Game Parlor and get a copy for my wife (I don't know as I'd buy it just for myself, but she really seemed to enjoy it, and it seems like somethign I could get into).

Also got a used copy of Karaoke Revolution for the Xbox- paid a whopping $6 for it, so, yeah. Already had headsets, so our friends who are getting married and we played it for a few hours. When I say "played", I mean, the women dominated, and the guys sang way off-key just to be able to keep pitch, which is what the game tracks- it doesn't even care if you're saying the words, so long as you're making noise. I actually got through REM's It's The End Of The World As We Know It by just going dah-dah-dah-dah during the higher tempo portions.  Oh, and "Dah?  Dah."  :)   Did fairly well on How You Remind Me (Nickelback) and Everything You Want (Vertical Horizon) before I learned that trick. My wife loved Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. This has sparked an interest in Rock Band (and other singing games, like Singstar) on my wife's behalf (since we've played Guitar Hero before), so I might be able to convince her to let me spend the bones for it if I can save a bit towards it.

Was up far later last night than I had any right to be. I will most certainly be paying for it tonight, and I know I'm going to have to take work home with me.
