9/11 has another meaning for us...

9/11 is a particular bittersweet day for our family- my wife’s mother passed away at 4:33 am on 9/11 last year, after a lengthy and difficult fight with breast cancer. She was a vibrant soul- we connected over silly things like Spider-Man, Smallville, and Justice League Animated… and over not-such-silly things as loving her daughter, and helping the family when I could (even if I bumbled while doing so).

 

She’s missed by many- her daughter wonders if she watches her, and if she’s proud. I tell her to have no doubts on either count.
