The greatest show on earth...

... in my pants! :D
Had a great kickboxing class Saturday morning- our instructor changed it up a bit, adding lunges with weights at the end of class. It was weird, holding the weights with my thumb on the same side as my other fingers, rather than 'wrapped' around like normal- and definitely made it hard to hold 'em out to the sides as we went up and down the length of the gym. OOH! And I learned something- the problem I'd been having, y'know, with my body trying to 'remember' how to put a kick out there? My problem wasn't my kicks- it was my range. I tend to get up close, when the kicks we were sending required more distance. I made a concious effort to stay back- and it worked *wonders*. Felt MUCH better this time.
Saturday was a day of errands- attempting to find a strip for the bottom of our shower door to replace the nastiness that is our old one; placemats for the table; various sundries. Today, Sunday- a Happy Easter, and... the CIRCUS IS IN TOWN! I hadn't been since I was, like, six. So my wife and I, her folks, and her brother and his friend all made our way to the Patriot Center, and got to lose ourselves for a few hours. Good fun- Herkules (that's how he spells it, and, having watched the dude catch a canonball and let a Jeep drive over him, I'm not going to argue) the strongman, the cyclists in the metal orb cage, and the flying acrobats (I'll have to look up their actual name) were my personal favorites, along with the tigers and 'stunt cats'. My wife had a ball watching the elephants. We all enjoyed it a great deal; my brother-in-law and his friend parted ways from there, the rest of us went to IHOP for some dinner. Took our leave, came back, and have been working at home since- laundry (both washing and putting away), taking the trash out, cleaning up, getting clothes ready for work tomorrow, and paying a few bills--- OOH! Gotta remember to send out taxes. I've had them ready for over a week, I keep forgetting to get the missus to sign off. Won't do to be late with those, nosiree.
Anyways... off to finish up some reading for the upcoming game. Hoping that we can host our first game here at the homestead in May, but gotta see what the schedule is. We're going to be going crazy with travel, between going to Florida to see my mom and stepdad, and going to Nebraska (!!) for my graduation.
