Watchmen trailer

Don't know if you've ever read the graphic novel, but the movie's coming out! Doctor Manhattan looks a little... I don't know. Poorly rendered (the CG character), I guess? He just seems off, somehow. But the rest looks awesome!

Looks promising. Perhaps, being a fairly early promo, they haven't finished polishing the computer graphics?

Oh, BTW, see Dark Knight. It is so totally worth it.

Distinct possibility. Also, I might just be overly critical. :)

I can't imagine Watchman being as good as Dark Knight. Actually, I can't imagine any supers movie being as good for a long while to come.

Well, until they bring out Incredibles 2. ;) I actually enjoyed Iron Man on the same par as Dark Knight, but for different reasons.

As for Watchmen, it's a bit of an unfair step to compare them. This new Batman is a 'retelling', of sorts- or, more correctly, an accurate representation on the big-screen. Watchmen is an adaptation of a story to which some folks already know the ending (it could be argued so was V for Vendetta, but they changed things around to be sure).

I liked Dark Knight better, possibly because I like dark fiction better.

I'm also a bit concerned that the director of Watchman has nothing of substance in his CV. 300 was hardly deep.
