[Politics] Seriously, Cindy? The dirtiest *ever*?

In an article from CNN.com, Cindy speaks with the Bene Gesserit Voice of No Perspective:

Cindy McCain, with of Republican presidential nominee John McCain, lashed out at his Democratic opponent, Barack Obama, on Tuesday, telling a Tennessee newspaper that Obama has waged the “dirtiest campaign in American history.”

“What I have found is that it’s necessary to make sure the American people understand what we have to say, what we stand for as a husband and wife, and what we will do for the American people if we’re lucky enough to be elected,” she told The Tennessean.

In the past few days, both campaigns have become more aggressive in their attacks.

In an admitted effort to turn the dominating narrative away from the nation’s ailing economy, McCain’s campaign has launched a new offensive questioning Obama’s trustworthiness. It noted Obama in the 1990s worked in a nonprofit group with a founding member of the Weather Underground, the 1970s radical group. Obama’s campaign retaliated Monday with a 13-minute documentary Web video detailing the Arizona senator’s involvement in the Keating Five scandal in the 1980s.

So... hubby got pwned by getting called out on his falsehoods, AND on the fact that Obama can actually reasonably distance himself from that associate. And that's 'dirty'? Let alone his 2000 run, and the characterizations brought up there?

I would argue that Obama ran one of the cleaner campaigns this decade. And, definitely the cleanest this election.

I think she's just viewing it like this because she's so personally involved.

Yeah, but as said on RPGnet- the bar's not that high. It just boggles my mind.

It's like she's just lashing out now. I mean, "Obama voted against my son getting funding!!!", when it's already proven that Obama voted for a bill that funded that ALSO included a withdrawal table.

Sounds to me like the guy voted not only to fund, but to pull her son and others like him out of harm's way from a conflict with no realistic end.

News flash: Wife of presidential nominee has absolutely no knowledge of American history whatsoever.

It's not even American history- it's her *husband's* political history. I'm sure she was there was their (now) Bush buddies started with their slams in 2000.

Apparently if you repeat the same lie often enough and loud enough, the belief is that the American people will believe you.

Too often true.
