We just had the technician out less than a week ago. We had the coils cleaned at the end of last summer. The technician said everything was fine. Freon levels were good. We've been running it... perhaps 2 days at this point.

And it's fucking leaking on the floor inside. AGAIN.

Historically, whenever this unit has leaked, it's been because of a drop in the freon level. There's a leak that they either won't or can't fix.

If the thing didn't cost like four grand to totally replace (because goodness knows, a situation that can't be repaired doesn't count as a 'breakdown' as far as our home warranty carrier is concerned), I'd tear it out and simply charge a new unit.
